some of you may have noticed that i have not been updating my site very frequently lately, or at all…i’ve come up with an idea to remedy that, i’m going to try it out for a few weeks, if it works, i’ll keep it, otherwise no harm done…nicole has this book called “If…” that is full of “questions for the game of life”…i’ve decided to randomly select a question every week, and write my thoughts about it…might be kinda lame, but i haven’t been writing at all, so it can’t be much worse…k, here goes
Question: If you had to name the single most important duty of a parent, what would you say it is?
Alright, we are starting off with a sweet parental question…way to go, random selection! i generally try not to think about parenting, unless i’m thinking of how to never be one…i would say the most important duty of a parent is to provide their children with a nurturing and caring upbringing…this includes teaching your kids the rights and wrongs of the world, teaching them that differences should be celebrated and not shunned, or just teaching them how to be decent people…too many children grow up in broken homes, where parents care more about themselves and their problems, rather than caring about where their kids are or what they are doing…
so, that is the end of my thoughts on that…guess there is a reason i shouldn’t be a parent, haha…if anybody else has any thoughts, lets hear em…

I have an opinion (shocking) it’s not so much a duty, but advice on parenting (I’m giving parenting advice, haha). Don’t be a friend, be a parent. That line should never cross until the child is well into their twenties.

I believe that the most important duty you have as a parent is to protect them…don’t let them fall off the bed (3 times), don’t let them eat a candy wrapper, and most importantly, don’t let them touch a hot curling iron that you left on the floor….this is my advice on how to not be a stupid person and a stupid parent..take it from me, i know!!

and that my friend is why people like you and i are not cut out to have kids.
(and i mean “you and i” having kids separetly… not together.)
(although it might work if we had kids together)

The single most important duty of a parent is to always be there for their children. My parents came through all the time for me, if they hadn’t I would of definitely be in an insane asylum or a exotic stripper
