so, saturday marked the passing of my twenty-sixth year on this crazy planet…overall, i must give this years celebration a rating of: interesting…a lot of things happened, some good, some really, really bad…

highlights:

• Wednesday: got my sidekick II, went to taki for sushi and martini night, then to aura for 2-for-1 martinis, and finally to mickey’s for college night…all of this was capped off with me getting spectacularly drunk, failing to get into the house at 2:30 am, then puking and passing out on the couch…good start to the celebrations…
• Thursday: we were supposed to go to Drink at night, for Birthday Thursday…however, i spent most of the morning puking, including a few times in the passenger seat of my car when driving home from work…was it the sushi, or the martinis? hard to tell…so, basically i did nothing that day except feel ill…
• Friday: pretty much back to normal…went to Boston’s for dinner with nicole, greg, chad, and kallie…then we went to the cAb, which apparently got hijacked by old people with shitty music taste…we had to listen to 15 minutes of peter frampton, and i almost ended my life right there…
• Saturday: finally, my actual birthday…got to open all my great presents from nicole, including a new wallet, the nirvana box set, friday night lights dvd and the snow patrol cd…also got more good stuff from my dad, and i talked to him and my mom both when they called to say happy birthday…that night was the big party at derek & kari’s house…it was a great time, and it was awesome of them to let us have the party at their house…kari made some good lil smokies, plus wore an awesome tae-kwon-do outfit with numchuks…nicole got smashingly drunk, and had a great time dancing and taking pictures…kevi got me the awesome William Hung cd, and cedric brought some swedish vodka that i can’t wait to drink…overall, everyone had fun i think, and a lot of people showed up…thanks to everyone who showed up, and special thanks to nicole, derek and kari for throwing the party and making it extra awesome…

so, as you can tell, it was quite the celebration…now i just need to try and think up some plans to make next year even better…

wow, i think i forgot i had a blog for a while…a lot has been going on lately, so it has been easy to neglect any updates…first, nicole’s grandma is home from the mayo clinic, she had surgery and is doing well…thanks to everyone who asked about her and sent their best wishes…also, i’ve been pretty busy professionaly lately, both at work and with truespin…at work, i just started a new project, and the deadline is pretty tight…at truespin, we’ve just completed a couple sites for clients, and we’ve been working on our super-secret mega-cool project (to anyone who knows us very well, its not that super-secret)…hopefully that project should see the light of day in the next month or so…anyway, hope everyone is doing well, don’t forget my birthday is this saturday…later
