what a good thanksgiving it was this year…first, we went to nicole’s grandma’s house in altoona for some food, and i watched my fantasy football quarterback throw for 6 touchdowns…next, we headed to her cousin’s house in norwalk for our second round of thanksgiving eating…there, we decided to have a gingerbread house making contest…the kids went first, and in that contest, “everybody won”…not so in the adult competition, there were definite winners…i decided to be a bit non-conventional, and designed a beautiful asian-style pagoda, complete with gummy-worm dragons on the side and graham-cracker windows and doors…check it outalas, my non-traditional design did not impress the judges, so the standings went as such:

1. Kim and Brian’s tall rise house (second from left in picture)
2. Jenni and Ryder’s Caribbean themed house (fourth from left in picture)
3. Chad’s white-trash house (first on left in picture)

regardless, it was still a great thanksgiving…

wow, what a long weekend…friday night it was over to derek’s party for a long night of drinking, heelying, and major announcements…saturday we headed out to dinner for tiffany’s birthday, and then went to the “U”, a club in johnston that was not quite as good as i hoped it would be…after that, we swung by Aura for a quick drink with derek, kari, kevi, steph, lindsey, rich and ben and about half of west des moines…today has been pretty quiet, and it was much needed…finally, i would like to give my congratulations to derek and kari, who are now finally going steady (i would like to punch derek, however, for not telling me about it)

check out my new post titles…i found a nice little WordPress plugin to replace post titles with images, via Matt…after i messed around with the plugin a little, i got it working and i think the post titles match the font on the rest of my site a little better now…

so, i’ve finally got some script examples added to my ’scripts’ section…SearchNow is a searching technology, featured on my site, that anybody can use to add live searching to their site…WP iTunes is also featured on my site, and allows WordPress users to display currently playing songs in iTunes on their blogs…if either of these sound useful to you, download them and check ‘em out…peace
